Donate to Independence Place
Independence Place is minimally funded and provides very few fee based services. Your financial support will improve the quality of life for persons with disabilities in Kentucky.
Donate to NFB Newsline in Kentucky
Help Newsline in Kentucky be all that it can be! The service is free to 300,000 Kentuckians who are eligible, and only a fraction of the number know about Newsline. The potential for Newsline to post local community specific events and information is limitless, yet the Kentucky Newsline team simply does not have the resources in financial or human form to help those who cannot use newspapers to access the printed page.

Donate Equipment
Does your organization, agency, or business find it discouraging to experience expensive equipment being shipped out to the land-fill or shuffled to the back storage area to further clutter space?
Independence Place, Inc. accepts discarded equipment to refurvish and distribute to individuals with disabilities. People with significant disabilities usually exist well below the poverty line but can be trained to use the PC along with software which helps to overcome the disability that has prevented them from obtaining a personal computer.
Individuals with disabilities experience isolation and informational barriers that the vast majority of our great nation take for granite. A refurvished computer with free share-ware for accessibility can open a new door of communications and education for those who are disadvantaged by disability.
If you’d like to facilitate the continued use of your discarded computer equipment, by people with disabilities who can benefit by receiving the equipment.
Contact Pamela Roark-Glisson, Executive Director by e-mail or call (859) 266-2807.
