Independence Place has taken the lead in joining with the National Federation of the Blind of Kentucky(NFBK) to provide N F B NEWSLINE services for eligible individuals through out the Commonwealth. N F B NEWSLINE makes it possible for anyone who cannot read conventional print to access information from newspapers, magazines, and other publications not otherwise available in alternative format by use of the touch-tone telephone. The selection of information is menu driven and allows for
choice of materials, topics, and personal schedule. KY NFB-NEWSLINE® is a toll free service and at no cost for those who are eligible with access to over
250 state and national newspapers along with magazines and TV listings.
