Independent Living Services
Independence Place (IP), Inc. Coverage providing the
core Independent Living (IL) services for seventeen counties includes: Harrison,Scott,Bourbon,Nicholas,Fayette,Franklin,Woodford,Anderson,Mercer, Jessamine,Boyle,Lincoln,Garrard,Madison,Estill,Powell
and Clark. One does not, however, need to live within the service area in order to receive services from Independence Place, Inc. Needs outside the service
area are met at the discretion of the Executive Director.
Independence Place, Inc. Consumer Service Division assist individuals with disabilities in locating accessible and affordable housing, education and training, legal and civil rights, communications, barrier removal, food and heating/cooling resources, home furnishings, transportation services, voter registration, Family Services, Rehab Technology Services, counseling services, and other services which assist the person with a disability to live independently within the community.
